IMG_9844At Sedalia Dental, we think carefully about every aspect of your experience with us and want to make it as pleasant and positive as possible. We promise that in our office you always will be treated with kindness, courtesy, integrity and respect.

Our warm, friendly and efficient staff knows that your time is valuable. Though we’re proud of our reception area’s soothing contemporary decor, we’re committed to making sure you don’t have to spend much time in it. We want you to feel at home, but we also want to get you home in a timely fashion.

Once you check in and we verify that your paperwork and insurance are in order, (our new patient forms are available online to fill out before you come in) a hygienist will call you back for a cleaning. Then, one of our doctors will meet you and spend some time getting to know you and your dental/health history before conducting a thorough exam.

Comprehensive Exams: The Cornerstone of Good Oral Health

Thorough and regular checkups are essential for early detection of more serious dental problems. Early detection makes treatment easier, less expensive and more effective. Here is what you can expect from us at each examination:

  • Examination and assessment of gum health for signs of gum disease
  • Diagnosis of any existing tooth decay
  • When necessary, we’ll take and analyze x-rays, which may reveal decay, bone loss, abscesses, tumors, cysts, or other problems not visible by traditional means
  • Screening for oral cancer
  • Checking the stability of any existing fillings or other restorations

If further treatment is needed, we’ll finish up your appointment in one of our consultation rooms where we’ll go over every aspect of your treatment plan, explain your options and the time and financial commitment of each option and help you decide how you want to proceed.
